Boosted by all this 'great sex', she says she's still game for adventure and feels the time is right for her to turn her attention to scaling the Himalayas.

Now, many readers might salute her determination to swing from the rafters and climb mountains at a time when many her age would be happy just to reach the top of the stairs without running out of puff.
But I'm afraid I'm a lone voice of protest among the roar of approval. It's not that I'm a prude - though isn't there something vaguely distasteful about boasting of your sexual adventures in public, regardless of whether you are 21 or 71? It's just that I can't see the point of Fonda's bid to remain eternally youthful by whatever means necessary.
Haven't us oldies 'done' young? Haven't we had enough sex and seen enough countries to last us a lifetime?
Rather than trying endlessly to relive a lost youth, why can't we just settle down and enjoy the far more interesting adventure of growing old?
