This is the writer’s workshop, a space for us to put pen to paper and show what we’re made of. Whether you’re just starting out on the writer’s road or even a published wordsmith, we want you to share your scribblings!
There’s no judgement here, and all self-expression is encouraged providing it is of a non-discriminatory nature and all writing submitted is your own original work. Poetry, prose, anything goes!

Alara Environmental Poem competition - Judges (and entries) needed!
Alara Wholefoods are a UK organic food company who, due to their passionate interest in the state of the environment, have launched their 'Environmental Poetry Competition'. Alara have always maintained a strong and powerful green image and their list of achievements speaks for itself (first UK organic cereal company, first company registered with the Soil Association, and first UK food company to become Zero Waste).
And now they are giving you a chance to have your say! Poems are already coming in thick and fast from people - and now judges are needed. The judging is down to you the public, just go to the website www.poems.alara.co.uk read the poems, and vote for your favourite.
The winner of every month gets 2 cases of Alara's fantastic organic muesli, with the overall yearly winner getting the grand prize of £1000!
